when i write e-mails from work, i always write them as i always have with !s all over the place and my name as "jessica!" but then i always have to go back and edit out most of the !s. i usually leave at least one because i refuse to allow professionalism to stamp out my enthusiasm, but editing out those !s hurts me and might be causing an identity crisis.

i finished sons and lovers by d.h. lawrence last week and started the waves by virginia woolf. i really like the first one, and so far the second one is oddly amazing.

this was a wonderful weekend of bars, the pool, dancing, grilling out, the used book store, sunburn, capitol hill, and beards. "missing" by everything but the girl was playing at the rock and roll hotel and a guy standing next to us did the robot for a second. dana and i tried to cajole him into doing it again, and i said, "i miss you doing the robot like the deserts miss the rain." he walked away shortly afterward. meeting new people is a strange, exciting adventure!

we move in on friday!
