thank you, meghan, for so enthusiastically endorsing google reader this past summer. i now live on google reader in the best way possible. when i first set it up, i pretty much just had my friends' blogs on there, but over the past few months i have truly explanded my subscriptions. i am now a subscriber of 53 fairly active blogs/websites/etc.
i mostly use google reader as a collection of dc-oriented information. i like to keep up-to-date about the dc doings with websites like dcist, brightest young things, why i hate dc, and greater greater washington. i also subscribe to a number of neighborhood-specific blogs, for instance, 14th & you, new columbia heights, and frozen tropics. weirdly enough, these have helped with moving to a new place. i hear about events and crime and metro delays and restaurant openings and on and on. all in one easy, google-looking location! it's great! i plan my free time based on information my google reader collects for me. if i read about an event i want to attend, i just put it on my google calendar and i'm done! or if i see something about a band i want to download when i get home, i put it in my google doc that's i use for that purpose. it's so organized and centralized! google helps me in everything i need to do!
i would never be able to keep up with all these blogs if i didn't have google reader. there are just too many. 29 dc blogs alone!
in conclusion:
use google reader!
thanks, google!
thanks, meghan!

Thank you for reminding me of how nice this album is, especially in the cold.
