i love dc

i drove to work today because i had a meeting in reston at 11:00. i also had to get to the office early because there was a lot to do before my meeting. i stayed up too late last night in the company of gabrielle, the west wing, and wine. i was drinking my third cup of coffee in the car on the way to the office around 6:30ish this morning. i was jittery and stressed. i got on the gw parkway and saw the memorial bridge, the kennedy center, and the potomac all hazy in the fog and the morning half-light. it was beautiful.

it looked sort of like this, only it was foggy, not as light out yet, and from the south of the bridge. so not a whole lot like this, but a little:
then i almost drove off the road.
