i've been taking 15th st. (instead of 14th) to get to the metro in the mornings for the last week or so. i did it one day just for a change, and i've kept going that way because there is an old woman who sits on her porch with her cup of coffee every morning. her crazy white hair sticks up in every direction as we say, "good morning," to each other. sometimes, i wish we could switch places. but then i'd have to be old, and as much as i think i would be an awesome old woman, i also think i have a lot of life to live until then.
i feel like everything is moving very quickly, and the days are passing without my even noticing. granted, things feel like they're going by so quickly because, when not at work, i'm usually out doing something i want to be doing, something fun with wonderful people. i think this happened last summer, too, where the weeks seemed to be over as soon as they started. it's the end of july already! hard to believe.
oh also, i know this is from a few days ago, but did you see how awesome jimmy carter is being?
