baby's first day of graduate school

i've had both of my classes now, and i'm still excited!

it's weird being on a campus and not knowing anyone i walk by. i guess this is the plight of a part-time graduate student. i am not that far removed from my undergraduate career, but i just feel so OLD.

i managed to meet some nice new people in my program without too much awkwardness (!!!!). i felt oddly social and forward in my interactions. i guess that's how you make friends: forcing yourself upon them until then accept you out of resignation. it's going well so far, i think!
