too much has happened in the last week or so. halloween, all saints day, costume parties for both, election day, first place trivia win, second place trivia win, new president-elect, volunteering, working, watching st. elmo's fire (again) and caligula (for the first/last time), eating belgian food. just too much to elaborate on.
so instead, let's talk about my birthday! it's a week from today! i love birthdays, particularly my own. for me, the day itself rarely lives up to the weeks of birthday anticipation. luckily, i read about this today: dcist really spoiled wmata's birthday gift to me. in this tid-bit, they let the cat out of the bag that metro is giving me a weekend without rail repairs or maintenance for my birthday. since the stretch from stadium-armory to eastern market (potomac ave. being right in the middle) seems to need weekly overhauling/track-sharing, this is truly a great and special gift! a delay-free weekend! THANKS, METRO.

dude that track work between eastern market/stadium armory was KILLER. potomac ave just didn't feel right. i had to walk to union station. lame.
