this website rates the walkability of different areas. it's neat! our 'hood is 87% walkable. not bad, not bad.
yesterday dana took g and me on a field trip to the congressional cemetery. it's only three or four blocks from our house, but i'd never gone in that direction so i didn't know it was there. it's the oldest cemetery in dc, and it looks like it's been pretty neglected for the last fifty to a hundred years. it's also a dog park now? anyway, it's awesome. john philip sousa, j. edgar hoover, and elbridge gerry are all buried there.
as for work, i've been pretty busy this week. the office bowling party for monday got canceled, but we did go out for ice cream on wednesday to bid farewell to the interns. office roommate made yesterday "thug thursday" so we listened to wu tang clan for most of the morning. it ended with my making him listen to shaq's "(i know i got) skillz" which features one of my favorite lines: "i got a hand that'll rock the cradle, cream you like cheese, spread you on my bagel." laura and i are going to the tastee diner for lunch today and to the pool after work. i've got the office to myself for the day which means i'll just listen to this and this and this and maybe work some.
